Waco ISD celebrates the construction of its fourth school in the district as a result of voters in Waco ISD jurisdiction passing the $355 million in bonds on November 2, 2021 to replace Kendrick Elementary School, Waco High School, G.W. Carver Middle School which opened in August 2023 and Tennyson Middle School which opens to students on August 14, 2024. The passage of the bond also allows for extensive renovations at South Waco Elementary School.
